Marcia Hall (1948-2003)

We regret to inform our members and supporters of the death of Marcia Hall, a beloved leader of the Beyond Ground Zero network and of our efforts to organize working people in Lower Manhattan. Marcia leaves behind countless family, friends and people who knew her from the community. She will be greatly missed and often remembered for her determination to stand up for her health and a better life for herself and other working people in Lower Manhattan. Marcia encouraged her son Andre and nephew Thomas to actively participate in organizing efforts on the Lower East Side. We must honor her memory by stepping up the fight for justice on behalf of everyone whose health and lives are being destroyed by the sweatshop system.
