"Providing Care 9/11's for Forgotten Victims"
Monday July 18th
11am
Bellevue Hospital, Atrium.
28th St. & First Ave. Manhattan

The Beyond Ground Zero Network, of which NMASS is a member, is announcing the expansion of the groundbreaking 9/11 Health Initiative in collaboration with Bellevue Hospital. This Health Initiative is unlike any other health project after 9/11.

Through community outreach, comprehensive patient support and monitoring, screening and testing it will continue to provide immediate treatment and study to address the healthcare needs of low-income residents and workers in the Lower East Side and Chinatown--the forgotten victims of 9/11. The increasing cases of respiratory, mental health and other health problems after 9/11 have resulted in a mounting health crisis in Lower Manhattan. The government has still not provided any resources for this important health program. The Health Initiative, which is solely funded through private sources, is the first to respond to the worsening health conditions of working people after 9/11.

We continue to call upon government at all levels to join in this effort to address these health problems and support this effort. If you or your family or friends continue to have health problems after 9/11 contact the NMASS Lower East Side Workers Center: 212-358-0295.
