Celebrate with women workers who are leading the movement for
control over our time, our communities, our health, and our
lives. Right now, women are organizing against long hours, harassment,
and other sweatshop conditions in nail salons, groceries, garment
factories and other workplaces. In February workers for Liberty
Apparel won an important breakthrough in the fight for manufacturer
accountability.Women are also spearheading the movement against
Bloomberg's displacement of low-income working people from Chinatown
and the Lower East Side and across the city. We are also gaining
ground in the fight for control over our health despite the
system's attempts to cover up workplace sicknesses and injuries
and the 9-11 health epidemic. We have much to celebrate, so join
us!
